COMMENTS: An opulent Parker Duofold Sr. fountain pen with gold overlay made by a Italian jeweler. The first thing you notice in this pen is its massive gold overlay throughout the entire pen (even the bottom tassie has a gold overlay). Then your eyes will gravitate towards the astonishing gold band at the top of the cap. This gold band is ornamented with an intricate pattern of 7 squares, 7 rhombuses, and 7 brilliant-shape motif. Unlike a regular Duofold pen with its flat top, the top of the cap has a slight dome in overlay gold. The clip of the cap is engraved “PAT. SEP 5 16 PARKER”. The nib is engraved “PARKER DUOFOLD PEN MADE IN USA” and it writes a silky smooth and firm fine line. There is no texture finish on barrel, cap and tassie’s overlay. Button filler system. This pen is in outstanding condition. It would be a mint pen if it were not for a few minor dents, two “usual” small spots of brassing on the clip-ball and upper part of the clip, and a screwing mark on the barrel where its screws into the cap. Sac has been replaced. Pen made in the 1920’s … a true statement of elegance and opulence!

COMMENTS: Very rare … this is an amazing Parker Lucky Curve Jr. fountain pen with 14K gold overlay and chasing designs made by hand in Pennsylvania (quality control personally performed by George S. Parker). The gold overlay craftsmanship is visible in the vertical lines chased vertically throughout the barrel and cap, areas delimited by 4 chased ornamental designs. The barrel has a chased ornamental oval to engrave someone’s name. That space has seen no engraving to this date. Another embossed chasing design is at the top of the cap. This is a unique cap as it has both a clip and a flat top ring. The clip of the cap is engraved “PAT. SEP 5 6 PARKER”. The nib is engraved “PARKER FOUNTAIN PEN 14K CANADA” and it writes a line ranging from extra fine to broad with its super flex nib. This nib flexes will write extra fine with no pressure applied to the pen or will provide you with that combination of lines ranging from extra fine to broad when flexing it. Bottom filler. The only flaw is in a small area (where the barrel of the pen leans against the hand) in which the gold overlay has worn. This pen is from my personal collection and I have used it to improve my calligraphy skills in the Louis Madarasz, Spencerian, Zanerian, and other ornamental calligraphy methods I have always admired. See writing examples done with this pen/nib in the additional pictures. This gorgeous pen is for the real lovers of fountain pen craftsmanship combined with the joy of writing with flexibles nibs!

COMMENTS: Very rare … this is an amazing Parker Lucky Curve set of two ringtop pencils with gold overlay. One is 3 ¼” long and has a smooth gold overlay while the second is 3 ¼” long and has a chased ornated gold overlay with two black bands. Both have the twist mechanisms, which are working. The set comes in its box. The liner inside the box has a nice Parker imprint with its Lucky Curve banner as it was their logo for this model. The same logo is printed on the exterior of the box, on the top left corner. The box is in almost mint condition despite being almost 100 years old. It has small marking from pencil lead on the upper side of the inside liner.
